JULY 2021 WRAPUP

It's time to gig again, in person! Hello Milwaukee Wisconsin. Mick Schafer and Kevin Schultz from the Propane Pandemic Sessions. This coming Thursday night July 9 from 4 to 8pm.

A little #wednesdaywisdom from Brownie Mcghee, "Blues is not a dream, blues is truth."

Our show last night at the Washington Heights Night Market was a success. We're booked back for the bigger Bash in August. Lots of good feedback. Hello Milwaukee

The new "Don't Wanna B Judged" song is one of 9 about to be released on Lightning in a Bottle's label. Mick and Kevin are playing around with it here in Milwaukee last week.

A little #wednesdaywisdom from Peter Tork, "Pop music is aspirin and the blues are vitamins."

On July 9th Cindy and I got blown away by the Van Gogh exhibit in a Milwaukee Wisconsin. Vincent’s story is told in floor to ceiling paintings and quotes about his powerful relationship with the creative energy.

A little #mondaymusic from Mick. In a brief "dress rehearsal" for the Open Mic America performance of Rainbow, Mick experiments with some scat.

A little #wednesdaywisdom from Cornel West, "The blues went south to north, got electrified and even sanctified. The blues got mixed up with jazz and gospel and rock and roll.”

Mastering the Blues Record. Met Michael Gilboe from Copperhead productions in Akimbo's Creative Workshop this year and he's putting on the spit and polish called mastering. Once this step is done we can move on to production and then to a release party in Portland early October.

A little #mondaymusic from Mick Schafer, having fun with the Charleston Cafe audience last Friday night.

A quote I love for a little #wednesdaywidom from BB King, "The blues was bleeding the same blood as me."

A little #feelgoodfriday with the Mick Schafer Band performing Cover Love at the Charleston Cafe.
