November Wrapup

November was a great month for inspiration and music creation. December will be even better. If you missed any of my social media posts here are some of my favorites below.

Monday Music. We limit our cover songs but why not make the good ones even better? Mick Schafer Discusses Creating a New & Improved Cover Song

Monday Music. Mick Schafer is grateful for the help he got last week from his voice coach Thomas Blaylock on the cover arrangement for Benji Howard's song Many Rivers.

"I love the gospel energy of the song "Many Rivers" even though its not tied to any one religion." Mick Schafer. Thank you Benjie Howard for your song.

Mick Schafer loves The Old Church Concert Hall in Portland, Oregon, a place where all kinds of music touch the soul.

Come on by this Friday night to Clark's Bistro and Pub . We got some trancy dancy gospel jams including "Many Rivers" with Justus Reece Music on electric guitar, Tom Esch on electric fiddle and the sweet rhythm section of Timmer Blakely on bass and Stephen Weinstein on drums. Mick's feeling inspired!

Come by tonight to Clark's Bistro and Pub to hear Mick performing Many Rivers with Justus Reece Music on electric guitar, Tom Esch on electric fiddle and the sweet rhythm section of Timmer Blakely on bass and Stephen B Weinstein on drums.

The Mick Schafer Band performance at Clark's Bistro and Pub was amazing. Here's an excerpt of another cover song "Just Because" with a nice fiddle highlight from Tom Esch.

Another cover song the band loves to play is Make It Rain by Tom Waits. Here's an excerpt from Clark's Bistro and Pub Performance
